Lipoplus®/Lipidem®

IV lipid emulsion with Omega-3 fatty acids

Latest generation IV lipid emulsion with high concentrations of Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids particularly EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid): 

• Supply of energy as part of parenteral nutrition when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible, insufficient or contraindicated
• Indicated in adults, preterm and term neonates, infants and toddlers, children and adolescents 

Content: 

• MCT from coconut oil. Medium-chain triglycerides are an efficient energy source due to their fast metabolism and elimination¹
• LCT from soybean oil. Long-chain triglycerides rich in essential omega-6 fatty acids, particularly linoleic acid¹
• OAT (Omega-3-acid triglycerides): from body oil obtained from fish, includes Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which contributes to anti-inflammatory actions^1,2

• Lipid component of the Nutriflex® Omega 3-chamber bags 
• For peripheral and central venous administration
• Proven stability in TPN admixtures
• Supplemented with vitamin E

• Proven to reduce the risk of nosocomial infections, and to increase predicted time free of infections in ICU patients vs. PN without Omega-3 fatty acids³
